Our rooms provide classic but simple features for this historic building.
The rooms are found through a rabbit warren of corridors and stairs around the hotel.
Since taking over in January 2022 we are working hard to upgrade the rooms to include all the modern comforts you would come to expect.
For now, if you are looking for simplicity, comfortable beds, great service and a warm welcome from a family and pet-friendly team then we look forward to meeting you.

What our guests say...
Scott - JULY 2023 (Booking.com)
“Stayed here for the weekend and it exceeded all our expectations. OK the twin room we stayed in was a little tired but everything else was perfect. Super white bath sheets, super comfy bed and exceptionally clean. The view over the river was amazing and the food fantastic, good pub food cooked well. We were always greeted with a friendly smile at the bar particularly by Kay who was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. if I have to give a negative it would be that service was a little slow during busy periods but for us that wasn't an issue... why rush in such a beautiful place. If you want 5* luxury and dislike dogs then stay elsewhere. If you want great views, good food a comfy bed, dog friendly and welcoming staff this is the place for you.”
“The staff were extremely helpful & were very welcoming! Room was very clean and had everything we needed. This was perfect, ahead of hiking along the Waktins Path.”
